We’re opening up the stage to you, our local writers, poets and storytellers!

New year, same great event! Come on out for the ARW OPEN MIC on Thursday, January 23rd, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at OVC Almonte. Thanks to all the wonderful artists who shared their work at our previous events; we’re super excited to welcome everyone back again for what is always a fantastic night of local stories, performances, and poetry!

Do you have a piece that's a work in progress? A polished story or poem? All work* is welcome. If you are interested in participating, there will be 5-minute slots available. Priority will be given in the order of those that sign up upon arrival.

If you are not a writer or not ready to read a piece aloud we warmly welcome listeners, too. Bring your friends and lend an ear.

* Ensure stories do not include anything that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or graphically violent.
